TR-6S is playing the last two steps from next variation

Post by crowby »

For example, if I have a hat playing on each 8th note on Variation A, and Variation B has hats on all 16th notes, when it transitions from variation A to B it will play the last few steps from variation B (the 16th notes from B) before transitioning to B. It's dropping steps from pattern A, killing the whole beat. What's going on here?

Been turning it off and on and I can't solve this. Haven't seen anything about this other than changing "last step" which is about pattern length.

Just figured out it is happening when I have a shuffle value of 6 or more, which seems like unusual behavior.

Another example. I put a snare on step 16 of variation B. And no snares on variation A. When playing variation A, and it's transitioning to B, it will play the snare from B on the step 16 of A. Is this expected behavior? It seems really unorthodox to me.
