MX-1 Analog-to-Digital Converter
MX-1 Analog-to-Digital Converter
Hi all, I am trying to make use of the digital input on my MX-1. I am trying to route the stereo audio of an external synth into it, and so bought a cheap analog-to-digital converter on Amazon. I bought one converting at a 96 kHz rate. While the audio on the digital input is fine, the audio on the USB channels gets totally distorted. I read somewhere on GS that the cause of this issue is the quality of the analog-to-digital converter. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good converter at 96 kHz? I don’t want to run the MX-1 at lower sampling rates as that introduces some lag when recording in Ableton. Thanks!

Re: MX-1 Analog-to-Digital Converter
Hey First,
I've just been through the exact same issue. Bought the only Analog to digital converter I could get off Amazon and the stereo digital channel sounds great but now I've swapped 1 useless digital channel for 4 useless USB channels.
Did you find a better converter?
And why did Roland even waste a channel on digital?
