TR8S reverse sample/instrument

Hi all,
I know that you can use the "rate" function to reverse samples/instruments (=sound is played backwards). However, some samples don't have the "rate" function as an option in the CTRL menu.
Interestingly, when you use SCATTER, even these samples/instruments WILL sound backwards.

So, my question is: Where is the hidden reverse/backwards function for ALL instruments?
