TR-8s new firmware update

Hello!
Something i don't understand.
I did the 3.0 firmware update and I have the new CVR 78 instruments.
But to have the new CR 78 Patterns & Kits, you need to do a factory reset.
What i did is:
1. update the firmware
2. backup everything
3. do the factory reset (and when i do that i can see the new patterns and kits)
4. Restore (and here i can see my user patterns and kits back.
Problem is the CR 78 patterns and kits are gone

Is there a way to restore just my user patterns and kits, but still see / have the CR 78 patterns and kits?

Restore your old backup. Make a new kit called CR-78, choose the instruments from the Inst list for each one. There are more new instruments than will fit in one kit, so make a couple of kits. The snare has a snappy control that you can assign the Ctrl knob and alter per step, along with the pitch and decay. We set the BD control knob to adjust Attack, as you can set how hard the drum kicks. Nice ACB kit, does retro but can be made into a modern thumper too with a bit of adjustment.
Or you can factory reset, save the kits and patterns to your SD card, then restore your last user backup, once done, load the new kits and patterns into it from the SDcard
