TR8s and TR6s, two of the best

Post by GMayle »

If you ain't got one of 'em, definitely worth getting. We are not Roland's pet advertisers, in fact, we're quite anti-corporate most of the time. But we will tell you what we find both useful or disappointing from time to time, corporate or otherwise. The TR6s and TR8s are drum machines that aren't quite grooveboxes, but are great rhythm makers. The ACB engine and the FM, with the basses and samples give them an edge as drum machines, but are not in the same league as grooveboxes as the MPC, MC707 or Digitakts. However as drum machines go, you'll be unlikely to sell a TR8s or TR6s if you use them to their full capacity. They're ace drum machines, and Roland will likely still be selling them new for a long time yet.

Micro shifting Roland, it must be possible? Sell the 8 and the 6 for another 20 years at least!
