But is it really the same?

Can't see why Roland would build a different SN engine just for the JD. The only question is probably related to number of SN sounds and that is down to how much memory Roland have built into it.

I think this is a great move by Roland. It gives us the Jupiter engine under the control of a WELL endowed System-1 like control panel, which I've wanted since the new Jupiters emerged. And to ice the cake nicely, at least a four voice synth which might even sound Jupiterish! What's not to love? ;D

According to my LMS which has allways been a big Roland dealer, the whole soundset of the integra 7 will be inside the XA. Including super naturall acoustic and PCM sounds. Advanced controll trough an external Ipad app.

This might be the big thing and actuall Vsynth replacement, there would be a choice of 2 formfactors, 76 and 49 keys.

61 keys yes! 76 keys? please no (Already have a couple new Jupiters). I really doubt they will have variations of keyboard sizes anyway for the JD-XA.
