My panels should be arriving on this Tuesday!!
I have been a real pain in the ass to Jamie I'm sure.
Always emailing and checking with him about the status.
Thank you Jamie for putting up with me.
Thanks for the great product and your putting up with my impatience.

Great job Jamie

I received my overlays today. They are gorgeous. I'm letting them lay on a table under some magazine weight because they had a bit of a curl to them. I'd like them to be perfectly flat when I apply them to the shiny plastic surface. I printed the instructions and will follow them closely.

Thanks Jamie... It's worth the wait.

Was the package curved or bent? They will flatten out quickly, I ship the larger Kiwi overlays semi-rolled and they apply just fine. :)

Here is a photo of my JDXA with the "synthgraphics" panel overlay
and wooden sides that I created and placed over the red triangle shape.
I love how my JDXA looks now!

Placing the panel overlays were fairly simple.

My JDXA overlay panels arrive today and were packed perfectly flat in extra cardboard sheeting surrounding the overlays. Installation was easy as per the pdf instructions and took less than 30 mins. The resulting new look is stunningly beautiful with clarity and detail on the panels !!! Highly recommended.

They were in a flat package that held up good. There is just a slight curve to them. No big deal, I'm just wanting them as flat as possible before installation. The 3M glue/sticky stuff would hold it fine, I'm just a bit OCD with the he JD-XA... LOL.

Richard Bates, nice looking JD-XA in your pic! Surprising to see wooden end cheeks in this synth, nice work! Think about how much more seriously people would have taken the JD-XA announcement, if it came like this? Roland should have aimed the crowds with more vintage look. Dave Smith is doing quite well in that sense...

Looks gorgeous! I REALLY like the wood end caps. Would you consider making more?

INSTALLATION TIP FOR THE OVERLAY

I installed my overlays today. What a great fit. Absolutely on the money. Here's a tip. Take the blue tape and put that on the overlay on the side you chose first. Then when you line it up; all you have to do is extend your finger to lock that overlay in place.

I took one long piece of blue tape on the side and used it to secure the overlay in place (not 3 pieces). Once you press the tape down, the overlay is absolutely locked in place. Then you can flip it up and remove the backing. When you put it down, it's right dead on the money. It worked for me...and I'm happy with my installation.
