Stumbled onto the matrixsynth JD-XA Patch Tutorials. They are great for folks (like me) who are still dinking around, trying to get hold of some of the capabilities of the 'XA. Link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... DkFAnJhbk8 . There are seven in all...
Actually - not sure if matrixsynth is just pointing to the Roland Canada TRIBES videos. :o https://www.youtube.com/user/rolandsupport247 Either way - these are great

Thanks Joe, as a newbie this sort of stuff is really helpful. JS.

It's helpful for me too. :). They also have a video playlist which covers other synth basics, all done on a Roland System-1 (who's controls, with 1 or 2 exceptions, are the same as the JD-XAs). Someone posted recently that Ed Diaz is working on video tutorials for the JD-XA. His "FA" tutorials are excellent. Until those are released... I'm snagging anything that I can hold of, as the Roland manuals just don't do it for me. Anyway - here is a link to the System-1 tutorials: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb ... 6EOtrsUxiZjohnstimley wrote:Thanks Joe, as a newbie this sort of stuff is really helpful. JS.

Thanks that's excellent.
I watched Ed's clip on the procedure for syncing the JD XA to the MX-1, also very helpful and concise.
Regards, JS.
