JD XA as controler on Sudio One 3

Hi every one. I´m new here so I´m going to introduce myself. I´m Henry an amateur musician. Lot f years into this but really novice in DAW and midi. I own two Roland Sinth: JD XA and a Juno G and a waldorf Blofeld.
I´m trying to configure my JD XA as a controller in S1. My audio interface is an audio box 44VSL. I can play Virtual instruments via JD XA. I think the JD XA is correctly configured as keyboard as an instrument in S1. The problem is that I want to control in the JD XA some parameters as cuttof , volume , etc and it seems that midi learn in studio one is not working. I manipulate the controls on JD XA and absolutly nothing happens on the screen of midi learn. No control is added at all. When midi learn is activated my JD XA can´t reproduce any sound of the virtual instruments I´m playing after I desactivated the midi learn button.
I have read the S1 manual and look at plenty of videos but now I´m stopped.
I would be very glad if someone could teach me what I´m doing worng.
