If I understand your question correctly... Yes. You can copy a Part from one program to another, all through the JD-XA's menus.

Example. To Copy Analog Part 01 in Program A1 to Analog Part 2 in Program L7....
1. I write down A1-A01 -> A2-L7 (so I dont get lost later :) ).
2. Navigate to Program L7. (you start from where you will be copying to..)
3. Press Analog Part 2, On and Select it. It should be lit blue now
4. Press <shift> Bank/Copy
5. Use the < and > and select PART Hit Enter
6. The LCD should say Src: INT: A01 with some program selected. Press the 01 button to select it
7. Press Enter button. Now use the < > buttons to select A-PART 1
8. For Dest Part: use the < > buttons to select A-PART 2 Press Enter
9. You should see Part Copy? [Exit]: N [Ent]: Y Press Enter

Done..

Seems like a lot of steps... but as long as you start from where you will be COPYING TO... everything is pretty easy. It becomes second nature after doing it a few times.

You can also do this, via the Librarian.. but this is pretty easy.

If this wasnt your question... Sorry for that :)

5 years later and I still periodically end out on this page to remind myself that the copy has to be done on the patch you are copying to, not from! lol...
