JD-XA vs Jupiter-50
JD-XA vs Jupiter-50
I have a Jupiter-50 and think about to buy a JD-XA. Is there enough difference? Is the digital engine same and same sound?
Re: JD-XA vs Jupiter-50
I have both, and they are completely different machines. They have hardly anything in common.PeterV65 wrote:I have a Jupiter-50 and think about to buy a JD-XA. Is there enough difference? Is the digital engine same and same sound?
The Jupiter-50 is a live performance keyboard mainly geared towards recreating the sound of semi-acoustic instruments with focus on playable tweaks. The JD-XA is an analog sound sculptor tool with a simplified digital engine thrown in to help overcome the limitations of the four voice architecture. If you are interested in playing "normal" keyboard sounds, the Jupiter may be a better choice. If you are looking for more experimental sound creation and "electronic" sounds, the JD-XA is vastly superior.
