Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
At last, someone is creating an editor! Well done.
Can you prioritise the PC version? I think more people would be needing that, than a Mac version!

Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
I downloaded CTRLR and got it installed. When I unzip Contents folder there is a MacOS folder with a Ctrlr file in it. How do I actually get CTRLR to read that file.
Sorry- can't seem to figure it out. I'm new to all this!

Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
I ended up going a different route, because I didn't understand their packaging for Release 4.
First I got the most recent version of CTRLR from here, http://ctrlr.org/nightly/?C=M;O=D
As of now, get Ctrlr-5.3.122.dmg
Download, run it, drag Ctrlr to Applications, drag the Panels folder to Documents.
That's just Ctrlr. Now to get the JD-Xi alpha version R4. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qq9it18t7ixl ... vh9ma?dl=0
Download Roland JD-Xi Alpha R4.bpanelz. Put it into the Panels folder above.
Now, from Applications or Launchpad, run Ctrlr. Go to File / Open Panel and navigate to Roland JD-Xi Alpha R4.bpanelz. The editor will load. Check your MIDI connections in both Ctrlr and on the JD-Xi, and you should be good to go!

Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
Thank you for taking the time to walk people through. :-)
Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
Thank you so much for working on this. The JD-Xi is a super powerful synth in bad need of a software editor, and thank you for bringing it to us.
With that said, I've run into a few bugs.
1) The digital synth tones won't sound once connected to the editor.
2) The drum section locks in at a different octave that can't be changed once connecting via CTRLR and your bpanel. This means that an entire section of the kit becomes unavailable (More than 50%)
I'm not sure if you're all still working on this.
I certainly hope you are, and I know I'm not alone.
Thanks again.

Change a Program then change back. That should get you going. As for the drum section let me know what happens when you change Program and change it back
Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
That worked! Many thanks!
You know, your editor is the whole reason I bought one of these things.
I'm going to keep testing it out, and so long as it's working, you got my donation.

Hi,
I've tried to run your VST version in FL Studio but FL does reject it.
Any idea?

Re: Software Editor for JD-Xi alpha version
Thank you for advice to look into it again.
Administration didn't help.
The help was to untick the checkbox "Verify Plugins".
Then the checking is stopped and the plugin is added to the plugin list, regardless of passing any verification.
So it does work now.
Maybe you have a look into, why your software doesn't pass the verification?
Thank you anyway. If it works fine, some donation will follow.
