JD-Xi with Logic Pro

Can anyone point me to where I would find info on setting up my JD with Logic? I've connected it via USB but it isn't working right. It isn't showing up as an input device, so I don't know how to just send the audio info.

Basically, when I get a pattern that I really like, I would like to be able to dump the entire thing into Logic. Is the only way to do it via the audio out and and I/O device or can I go directly from thekeyboard to the computer with a USB cable?

Any help would be appreciated!
