Hi Everyone
Received my JD-Xi today and am having issues connecting it to Ableton via USB.
Having read in reviews you can use USB and don't need MIDI cables I didn't buy any.
I have successfully connected my novation launchkey to ableton with no issues but this is really annoying me.
I have downloaded the driver from Roland and changed the settings on the synth to vendor.
Can someone please talk me through how to add this so I can hear it through ableton please as I have never added an external instrument before and it is really frustrating me!
Thanks in advance

Re: USB audio to ableton 9
Worked it out so thought I would post here to help anyone else suffering the same problem.
Step 1: set JDXi to vendor mode as detailed in instructions
Step 2: Power off JDXi
Step 3: Install Roland Driver (turn JDXi on when prompted)
Step 4: Launch Ableton (for subsequent sessions ensure JDXI is turned ON BEFORE LAUNCHING ABLETON)
Step5: Open Preferences / Audio and set Audio Input to JDXi
Step 6: add External Instrument, select JDXi and set Audio From to 1/2
