use JD-XI with Logic without hearing built-in voices

Post by seh »

Hi,
Anybody know how I can use the JD-XI to control software instruments (via USB, in Logic Pro X) WITHOUT hearing the instruments built into the JD-XI when I play? I'm monitoring from the JD-XI (so it's my audio in/out and midi in/out too). Of course I'd also like to record some sweet jd-xi sounds at times, but sometimes I just need a software instrument.

I didn't see anything in the jd-xi manuals about this and most of the examples online describe dedicated midi connections (as opposed to the jd-xi's usb audio/midi all-in-one connection).

Thanks!
