Help with external stop / start midi

Post by burydudexxx »

Hi

I am trying to have my JD-XI play in sync using an external sequencer. Having set it to 'Slave' It responds fine to "Stop / start" but it also plays other midi data (notes etc). I can do this ok on my Roland TR-8 by switching 'OMNI' to 'off' - is there a way to do the same on the JD-XI - so it syncs only - hope that makes sense :-)

Try seting JD-Xi's parameters Bank Select and Program Change both to OFF and tell us if it solved the problem
