Program change with footswitch

Hi,

For playing live Im triggering pre-recorded sequences on the jd-xi, then playing guitar over the top. The main problem is when it comes to switching from verse to chorus (and chorus back to verse), as I've no hands free to switch the progam.

So I need a footswitch that will basically trigger program + and program -

Possible?

I just looked at the midi implementation guide, and it looks like you could select specific programs with program changes. However I don't know if it's possible to send a midi message that acts as a program +/- .
If you find out, please let us know.
