JD Xi won't connect on a Mac

Post by marlusdx »

Hello,

I've got a JD-Xi, but when I tried to connect to my Mac Mini via USB, it crashes. The Mac even understands that something is connected to it, since it shows imput signals, but it will crash a little later.

I tried to update the software but, as instructions says, when I connect the keyboard to the Mac a window should pop up (for backup, update, or restoration). It also does not happen, so I can't copy the updates.

Anybody has any clue about how to fix it?

Thanks.

Have you tried to set the jdxi to generic in the settings menu?

Oh yes, I tried a lot of things.

Fortunately, it's solved. And the solution was something I thought would never be responsible: the USB cable. As soon as I exchanged it, it worked perfectly.

Gladly it worked, otherwise I would still be facing the issue, since Roland's support didn't answer my email.
Thanks guys. Mind your USB cables.
