Congratulations! Since MacOS isn't supported by my Windows and Linux editor our editors complement each other really well. ;)

One nerdy question: what file format did you use for the patches?
It would be great if we used the same format so patches could be exchanged between Mac, Windows and Linux users.

The format I used is simply the sysex dump format of the JD-Xi, i.e. for analog patches it's the 78 bytes tone data (everything from F0 to F7 including the header), for digital synth patches it's 354 bytes, i.e. the sysex dumps (F0 to F7) as follows:
tone common + tone part1 + tone part2 + tone part 3 +tone mod
And for drums it will be 5466 bytes:
drum kit common + all partial dumps in order

All files are text files and store the sysex messages, one per line, with checksum, address and id.

I assume by text files you mean hex data in ascii format (F0 00 0B ...).

In that case our formats differ slightly as I store the sysex data in binary format. I don't have a Mac so can't try out your editor, would it be possible for you to provide me with some saved tone files (at least one for each type) from your editor so I can add an Import/Export function for your file format to my editor?

I can provide you with example files from my editor too if you wish.

By the way, I have added a link to your editor on the web page of my editor so anyone looking for a Mac editor is redirected to your site.

Thanks for making this, man. It really helps me a lot.

Just so I am clear, I need to be IN the program I wish to edit the tones for when using the editor, yes?

Can someone who has a Mac and is using the okJDXiEditor please PM me?

I would need a few saved Tones from the okJDXiEditor (particularly drum and analog Tones) in order to make the JDXi Manager for Windows and Linux compatible with the file format used by the okJDXiEditor.

This would allow exchanging Tone files between Mac, Windows and Linux users using the okJDXiEditor and the JDXi Manager editor.

I already have the digital synth Tones examples available here: http://www.okdev.org/downloads/downloads.html , but no analog and drum kit files yet.

Thanks a lot in advance.

That sounds like a great idea, I might add it to the JDXi Manager too! :)

Hi,

I have an older version of the okJDXiEditor but have not updated to v2.1.0 as I am on old Mac software version.

Thought i would just check for you as no replies.

My Apple store shows no versions of the editor and trying the writers web site shows its not functioning.

Looking like the mac editor is now defunct...unless someone knows otherwise?
