JD-Xi click out - live flexibility?

Post by wasm »

Hi there everyone,

I use the JD-Xi live with a guitar looper linked via midi to play alternative/trip hop.

I'm aware I can set the JD-Xi to output a click via the right channel and headphones. By so doing, I can lay down a guitar part, linked via midi to the JD-Xi, and have it loop with ambient keyboard/fx sounds, before I bring in any drums, which is useful for song dynamics and arrangement live.

BUT - I'd prefer not to sacrifice the stereo output to the live mixing desk by losing one of the outputs.

Does anyone know of a way (has there been an update?) to output a click to headphones ONLY, leaving both channels to send out the stereo mix to the live desk?

And, does anyone know how the JD-Xi sums the left and right channel into the left channel only when the right channel is set to click. Presumably stereo setting across drum tracks and instruments are lost?

Thanks all!!!
