The best solution is to use the downloadable JD-Xi Editor Software. The software allows you to create your own tones (a.k.a patches) and programs from scratch as well as edit the preset tones that you download from Axial, or already come built in with your JD-Xi.

What you do is go into one of the presets through the software and click on the particular tone you like. You should then be able to edit and/or save that tone to your computer. Once the file is saved to your computer, it is easy to reopen the tone in any of programs in the User banks. You could even mix and match different tones from presets that you like. Of course you would then have to physically save the program on the JD-Xi itself.

You can find the free downloads for the JD-Xi Editor software on these forums. I'll link the Mac and PC threads below. Really, you can't beat the Editor software. Very easy to use, and opens up so many new doors for using your JD-Xi.

Hope this helps.
