Custom MIDI mapping to the JD-XI using SYSEX

Post by ranzee »

Just finished a little video/tutorial on how to do custom MIDI mapping using SYSEX for the JD-XI. I'm using a Roland A-500 Pro MIDI controller. The video goes over some basics of SYSEX, Hexadecimal, MIDI CC and how to read the Roland MIDI Implementation docs. Then it goes into specifically mapping ADSR for AMP and Filter + other cool things like using Aftertouch.

Is it possible to change the midi number parts of a sequence from the fixed locations by the way of SYEX? The reason I am asking is because I have an Mc909 with 800 plus user patterns a blank on track 1,bass on track 2,pad on track 3 ect...
