Filter cutoff resetting when releasing a key

Hi, I've been getting frustrated with a problem I've been having with the analog synth on the JD-Xi. If I set a tone so its amplitude envelope has 0 attack and 0 sustain so that it "plucks" so to speak, and then set the filter envelope so it changes the cutoff over the time the tone is playing, the cutoff will reset itself if I let go of the key. So if I hold the key down, it behaves like it should, but if I tap the key, the cutoff will snap back to its original position as soon as I let my finger off the key. I hope I've explained my problem well. Is this a hopeless bug or is there some setting that is making this happen? Thanks.

Hi did you figure this out? Having the same problem with the mc707, cuttoff keeps auto resetting when I let go of the dial/knob
