I have purchased a Jd-xi & a McMillen 12 step midi controller. I am a bass player, so the idea is I can trigger synth sounds during live performance with my feet where needed.
All good so far with the synth’s - works very well. I’m trying to trigger a handclap only from one of the drum sets , but that’s not working. Can it be done? I’ve got both the jdxi & 12 step on channel 10.
Might be a limitation of the 12 step? I’m an experienced bassist, but learning the ropes re synths & MIDI! Any (simple!) advice on my issue would be appreciated.

Hi,
Don't know the midi controller your using but I think it should work.
Can you give exact details of which/what/where the 'hand clap' is you want to trigger and what midi note/data you are sending out from the controller.
Are you getting any drums sounds at all?
