Using JP-08 as a sequencer

I have hooked up my JP-08 midi out to my SH-01 midi in and expected the JP-08 sequencer to drive the Gaia - but it doesn't. What do I need to do to get it to work?

The sequencer is internal only. It is not made for sequencing other gear.

For sequencing other synths, I use an Arturia Beatstep Pro.

Thank you, IraVirus, I suspected as much. I have just ordered a Beatstep.

I got a Beatstep Pro and I don't think you'll regret your purchase. It is a much more versatile sequencer than the one in the Boutiques, anyway.

But they do send midi for the sequencer, I've recorded it to clips sometimes (trying to work out how to get it working every time)
