I'm with Bodde on this claim that the TR-08 is better... Sounds like typical rubbish talk to stop discussions just like this one, where we realise the TR-8 to buy in boutique form would cost you well over $1000 (if they made all the modules into boutiques). I suppose the TR-08 just has old sk00l benefits like trig out, and a silly dial wheel to get to the different sounds. Plus side it has a waaaaay better sequencer, but ultimately Roland have always been pretty crap with sequencers so it's best to just buy a proper external sequencer like a Synthstrom Deluge, or use a PC to sequence it. On a PC you can at least sequence the effects and rolls etc with CC. I guess it depends how you like your setup.

Yeah the TR-08 sounds cleaner than the TR-8, It's easy to work with(I haven't looked at the Manual yet).
I'm kind of disappointed that you can't use the other Percussion parts in a pattern (Toms and Congas, Maracas and Clap etc), like the OG. But for the Price it's a great little box.
