Even using boutique with batteries, I got humming when 2 device is connected together from Output to Mix In and Midi In to Midi Out. If I unplug one of these cables, humming stops.
With external mixer, so you don't need to plug audio cable from Output to Mix In fixes problem. This spoils whole idea of portable gear.
Interference is annoying!

Are you powering the devices with USB? Some people have found this introduces noise. If so, try using them on battery power. If that fixes the problem, but you still want to use USB power, you might need to try a different USB hub.
