How to I know if the Roland SH01a is sending / receiving sysex?

So, how do I know. Does a dot appear in the corner of the LED, like on the Rolands earlier SH32?

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, the SH-01A does not respond to(nor transmits) SysEx messages, as stated on the MIDI Implementation chart.
