How to get this to work?
I have installed the correct driver for the JP-08 on OSX10.9.5 The program SysEx Librarian does recognize the unit.
I thought that a "folder" would show as a USB device on the desktop or in the Finder so one could drag the folder to the desktop to save. Doesn't seem to happen. Also when I first power the unit on I hear digital noise until one selects a preset (probably normal ?)

Hold the Patch 2 button whilst powering on the JP-08.
Then connect the USB cable to your computer. The device should show up.
Incidentally, I use a Mac and did not need to install the driver software in order to use USB for file transfer. I only needed the driver in order to use the USB connection for MIDI and audio.

Thanks! And this works even on older Macs without the driver.
