I preordered my SE-02 today, according my dealer it will arrive in september

One question, do you think that a PC/MAC editor will be available?

I know that the panel is full of knobs for a very easy editing of sound, but I think that if I need to change parametres with very little values an external editor can be easier

Just asking, and sorry for my english not perfect

Thx a lot

I was about to preorder a SE-02 with the price of €499 here in the Netherlands, but suddenly the price rose to €599 at most shops. The lowest price I can find is €561 now.. Should have preordered it earlier..

I hope today's price drop of Behringer's D will make the final price of the SE-02 also drop a bit again.

The demo's and specs are very promising!

I'm sure they will bring out an editor - just like they did for the JD-XA, System 8, Jupiter-80.............

Does the sequencer have slide and accent functions like the TB-03?

Too bad it is mono.....

You can chain them for poly. (Or if you'd rather have poly than true analog, you can always use one of the other synths in the Boutique series). Or if you don't need it to be quite so small, you could also look at the Korg Minilogue for an analog poly at the same price. I don't think you could fit analog poly in that little box (unlike digital, analog requires a lot more componentry as you go from mono to poly). Really, I'm kind of amazed this thing exists at all!

Actually, he says, "The SE-02 is first analog synthesizer of the Roland Boutique series." But the ambiguities of language, especially when non-native speakers are involved, makes the meaning vague. He didn't necessarily mean there will be more to come. A perfectly plausible interpretation could also be, "this is the first time we've done an analog Boutique synth." Which is a way of saying "we've never done this before" and doesn't necessarily mean it will ever be done again. But maybe!

With the information I have, Roland certainly have plans for more in the series. What they are or what timescale they're working to, I have no idea!

I'm going to predict we'll see some kind of D50 implementation.

i've heard other people speaking on behalf of Roland that there will be more in this line of analog architecture coming.

Pre-ordered mine on Gear4Music (UK) for €564 a week ago, the next day it's value jumped to €599! Okay, we're only talking about €35 difference (about 6% of the total price), but that's a lot of money left for pints to celebrate this pre-order! \o/

Anyway, can't wait to see what Roland is cooking next... I'd say they would be mad to do this true analog excursion a one-off thing. I'm pretty sure this new designer series will soon welcome 2 more analog synths (as they seem to do everything by 3).

Roland brings out the SE-02 just in time! I was thinking of getting another Moog. But forget it! ( I like Moog but Yes, I am still a bit sour over a new Voyager OS that I had issues with.). I will go with the Roland any day!

G4M estimates my order to be delivered on 4th September, so it's probably gonna be release toward the end of this month.

if i didnt make that first batch (depending on how many SW gets), ill just cancel my order and pick it up locally (confirmed several stores have them). i have a 25 dollar gift card that will cover the tax so its a win -win for me at this point.
