Hi All,
I have a JP08 with K25M, TR09 and TB03. I'm trying to work out the best way to get the chorus working on the JP08 without plugging into a computer.
From reading up, the JP08 needs to be sent Midi CC #93, values 1-3 to turn chorus on.
I can see that the Boutique A01 can do this (Youtube videos), but am wondering about the A-49. Does anyone have an A-49 to try this out?
The A-49 manual says for 'Assigning a Control Change Number (CC#)': "The button will alternately transmit ON (127) and OFF (0) each time you press it (Latched operation)".
Does this mean that the A-49 can't send values 1-3 for Midi CC#93, only 0 or 127? And therefore it can't be used for JP-08 Chorus?
CC93 Chorus on Roland A-49?
Re: CC93 Chorus on Roland A-49?
Why not set C1 or C2 rotational knobs to do it instead? Would be a bit of overkill though given you only have 2 knobs on the A49 and have to use one to change between 3 values! Can the switches not be sent to send fixed values? So have 3 buttons, each assigned to a different value? (Don't have an A49, but I can definitely do this on a Kurzweil PC3).
Re: CC93 Chorus on Roland A-49?
Thanks, Myrk-!
I missed that the knobs can presumably pick any value from 0-127.
I'm not sure how easy it is to pick 0,1,2,3 out of 127 and distinguish without a screen, so I'm still prevaricating about getting the A-49...
