Output midi from SE-02 sequencer

Does the sequencer output midi, so I an record the midi from the sequence to my daw?

I ran a midi 5 pin din from my se-02 to the input a on my mpc live and I cannot record the seq pattern. I'm reading the manual from SE right now.

Ok so when in Seq mode (center) press note and gate button to make them light. Button 1 will allow you to send the sequence to internal or external. Done:)

This was driving me crazy. One might expect a sequencer to send out MIDI by default.
