Does the D-05 have Chain Mode?

Post by vst_twc »

This stems from another thread where I was asking about the D-05. Does the D-05 have chain mode? Can you chain more than one D-05 together in the same way that you can with the first wave of boutiques? Is there any advantage to doing this?

Hi! I just wanted to thank you for the question! To be honest, I am not sure if D-05 has a chain mode. However, let's check it out all together!

I can't find any reference to chain mode in the manual or the parameter guide.

Looking over the manual sheet, I don't see any reference to chain mode either. Given that the d-05 already has full 16 note polyphony, there really isn't much reason to have chain mode. It is possible that this is an undocumented feature, but since we already have the full polyphony of the original D-50, why?

I got an answer from Roland directly. I emailed them and they said that the D-05 did not have chain mode. Case closed.
