8-bit music was a huge influence on me. I spent my teenage years playing games on a Commodore 64 from the early 80's. I thought it would be nice to revisit my retro gaming days by attempting to recreate one of my favorite game tunes: Command (by Rob Hubbard).
I've decided to use the Roland A-01 Boutique synthesizer because it is actually an 8-Bit synth! My aim is to not perfectly recreate the song, but to see how it sounds with a different engine (if I was to recreate it using my C64 SID chip - it would just sound the same as the original).
Anyway, over to the video ... links and everything are on there. Hope you enjoy it :)
