Hi all,
I'm looking for an effects pedal to add character the TR-09 drum mix.
Don't want distortion effects.
Been thinking of either a Strymon deco to add saturation or a Strymon Bluesky to add a little reverb to the drum mix....apparently you can reduce the low frequencies on this pedal too.
Would be great to hear what other people use.
Cheers

Re: Effects pedal for Tr-09
Hey there;
Well, I might be far off the reservation here since I don't have a TR-09, nor do I use pedals with my Boutiques, but I have had great results in the past with pitch-shifters on drum machines (in my case Yamaha RX5, Roland TR-505 and Yamaha RX11). Blending a pitch shifted-sound with the dry can produce some really original sounds, and shifter pedals are not too expensive these days. Just a thought...
Also: do you not consider saturation to be a form of distortion effect? Curious about your reasoning there...
Cheers,
kS
