MacOS 12 M1 firmware

Hi folks, I'm installed boutique firmware many times, incl beta versions with early M1 support where we had to do weird bootup stuff with kernel permission type stuff.

But this time around I'm failing to figure out how to get my SH01A connected to my new 2021 MacBook Pro running MacOS12 and the M1pro chip.

The Roland website says that the MacOS12 version of the sh01a firmware is universal, and the instructions are straightforward. But it just won't show an audio interface or Midi device at the end.

I've done multiple uninstall/reinstalls, always with reboots, disconnected the cables etc etc. Checked the Security settings and not seeing any prompts there.

What should I try next?

(I had the same problem on my M1 iMac a few days ago - couldn't solve it on that device either...)
