jd-08 midi issue

hi
just got the jd-08 and when I hook it up to my DAW(reason 12) and also tried in logic it just plays random stuck notes using my external keyboard. I have no problems with any other synths in my setup and play just fine in the same session. However if I use the step sequencer in reason the jd-08 plays fine.
any help please

Perhaps a midi feedback loop? I know these newer Boutique have multiple active midi channels and with the sequencer etc, I can see this being a problem. I don't have my unit now to test, but just a thought. Try and check for conflicting midi channels on the in and outs.

I really wish you could disable the unused midi channels and just set this to a single patch unit. That is how I was hoping (and expecting) to use this.
