I saw this picture on the Roland IG account yesterday

The K-25m keyboard unit does not have wood paneling!! Where is this from? Is this a different keyboard unit? I totally want this but not sure how to get it. Any ideas?

mine looks the same :-) It is quite easy to replace the metal sides with wood. I bought mine somewhere on Ebay back then, they are actually just small wooden boards with matching holes.

ah, so these are separate attachments sold separately. That certainly is not obvious or called out on the Roland site. Thanks for the heads up on that.

I know this is a subjective question, but does this keyboard unit aside from it being very integrated with the JU, bring anything special to the table? I noticed it has no mod or pitch wheel and no octave switcher (which are like pretty much the absolute minimum you'd want to see in a controller). I already have an Arturia Minilab MKII. I'm kinda torn whether I even need this keyboard unit! :)

It's only a unit with mini keys that visually matches with the Boutiques. Any other master keyboard is better...
