As you probably already know, the JD-08 was released somewhat crippled by Roland - one cannot share individual patches or a subset of the full bank, so sound designers have to share their full .SVD file with all 256 patches and settings. Threads like this (Roland JX-08 & JD-08 Preset Export BIG Problem) describe the issue. I got really frustrated myself after making some sounds and having to lose them or do restores all the time, just because I purchased some soundbanks I also wanted to use - there was a need for easy bank merging in some way.
I developed a minimal librarian which can organize .SVD files (list/find/rename/move/sort patches), and, most importantly, import/export patches and transfer them between .SVD files via copy/paste.
