What have you got?

Post by The Box Drone »

I had a JX-3P who I loved for a short while... then along came Juno 60 & I dropped the poor JX like a rock :)

I really feel like the Juno + the FXa make a fabulous couple... certainly an attractive one!

So, what have you guys got? What's your favorite dinosaur?

I have the TR-626 beatbox. It is my first piece of gear, I have it since 1997! And I still use it to produce vocoded drums and loops.

ummm... sorry to interupt your guys special private time. I have the stupidest vintage drum machine which i still use to this day.... drumroll... *CRASH* Mattel Synsonic Drums drum machine... taadaa!! The poor mans 909- can't sequence it via midi, but I still get sounds out of it and sample them. I'm thinking of circuit bending it (it's real analogue, but I'll just have to sharpen my skills on analogue circuitry, nothing like screwing with early digital boards) OOh ooh- and I have a super beat up rhodes chroma polaris too- that thing makes THE nastiest sounds ears have ever bled to!!!

I love the Roland synths. My collection is Fantom Xa, Juno 60, JSQ60, JX10, PG800, JP8000 and a hammond and oberheim.
Still searching for an System 100 and/or a system 100m. I think, and maybe that's my imagination, all these instruments have an "own" sound.

The keyboard died, so I thought I'd turn it into a lunch box.

It works perfectly as a module, so I plan to use it just as I was using it before really. The keyboard was playing up for a while, so it was always controlled by other gear anyway - now though, it really must be controlled by other gear. Being in Japan means save on space where ever you can!
