Vintage Keys doesn't have ANY drums. It only has keys (EPs and organs), synths, synth basses, pads and some fx.

If you look for good 606/808/909 sounds, get the Platinum Trax board. It includes all waves from te Techno SR-JV80 board, which has loads of great 606/808/909 sounds - almost whole sets.

I myself use the 606/808/909 sounds that I got from the sites I have links for here: http://fantomized.info/?p=sample_links

Let's clarify things here

Post by E.Camargo »

This is the best of all SR-JV80 colections, the SRX-07 (ultimate keys).
The samples contained in this board are waves taken from SR-JV80-04 (Vintage Sinth), SR-JV80-08 (Keyboards of the 60's and 70's), and SR-JV80-10 (Bass & Drums). Selected waves from the SR-JV80-09 (Session), and SR-JV80-03 (Piano) are also included.
The drums contained there are drums from the "SR-JV80-10", that are acoustic and radical, taken from "Burning Grooves vol. 2".
TR machines can be found in dance expansion boards like "SRX-05 (Supreme Dance)", and "SRX-08 (Platinum Tracks)" as Artemio have mentioned, and you can find the TR machines on the Fantom-S/X sound set.

The only thing new in these compilations (SRX-06-09), are the patches. Most of the patches that come with the boards take full advantage of the XV/Fantom series capabilities. Stereo waves per tone, matrix control and other things that you should know about the series mentioned above.
The samples contained in SRX-06, 07, 08 and 09, are all samples taken from the JV80 boards.
If you want new Roland sounds, go for the 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and 10.

Are you mentionning the Fantom FA-76?

If yes, the version 1.20 (the last for the FA-76) are available for download in order to use the expansion board.

If you are asking about the Fantom-S or X, I didn't understand your question so well.

If I remember, the version 1.17 is already compatible with the SRX-05-09 features.
The latest adition is 1.20.

Check the Roland's ftp site, or the CD that came with the expansion board.
