Hi all,
I'm using an external controller (Yamaha CP33) to trigger sounds from my GW8. When trying to record a song, however, it's as if the GW isn't recording the externally triggered/generated note on/off info - I go into song record mode, set (eg) strings on Track1, set the CP to transmit on ch. 1, and start recording. I can hear what I'm playing, while playing it, but when I select playback, there's...... nothing.
Can anyone suggest what's up? I find it strange that the GW's sequencer wouldn't record the note on/off info that it's clearly receiving, and really hope that that's not the case.
I'd really appreciate any advice/workaround you guys can offer.
Thanks,
RM.

Re: GW8 sequencer not recording externally triggered note on
In case you're all about to hit "reply" - Roland have been in touch to say that the GW8 can only make a multitrack midi recording from the internal keyboard.
