XP80 out of tune

I have an XP80 and its oput of tune with my other keyboards, tuned to 440hZ
but out of tune any ideas??
Transpose off so its not that
Does the internal battery have any effect on the tuning?

Hope someone can help

have you checked the system settings? the master tuning is set there (normally).

There is also a possibility to have the pitch bender creating that problem...try to give some small touches to the bender stick to see if it changes anything.

It was the pitch bender, thought it was a little strange never had it before with digital synths only old analog synths

Yep, I though so. In fact the Roland pitch benders are composed of two "plain" analogue potentiometers (variable resistors) made of a carbon compound that with the constant movement, age and got worn over time and need to be replaced.

I repaired my Fantom Xa's pitch bender twice, but now the only way is to get a new one from Roland, as they are very worn...that's why I don't use it (the Fantom's pitch bender) any more. I control the Fantom from an external midi controller.
