Need help with Fantom FA-76 and MIDI Quest 10

Post by Alazarin »

Are there any Fantom FA-76 owners out there who use MIDI Quest? I can't get the two to communicate. I know my system works as I am able to get MIDI Quest to communicate with my JV-1080 module. My setup is as follows:

Computer (Win 7 64-bit) MOTU 828 MK2 MOTU MIDI Express XT Synthesizers + FX

My system works just fine as both a studio setup hooked up to Cubase and as a live standalone rig where I control everything from the Fantom. I contacted MIDI Quest and they replied the next day with a suggestion that I increase the number of buffers. I also experimented with increasing the buffer size and disabling MIDI thru but to no avail.

Does anyone know the magic trick to get them to communicate? My Fantom is choked up with patches and performances I've created and I really need to get them into an editor to organise them. As well as clearing up space to write new patches.
