Roland GR-20 "HOLD TYPE" issue

I just purchased this guitar synth and been using it with issues until the following was found:

When I was trying to modify the "HOLD TYPE" function to get different expressions for holding the sound, I didn't get any answer.

That function IS NOT LIGHTING UP and no options are given to me. As from I could tell from the manual it should've given me four options to set from H1-H4.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what could be the problem.

Please help.
