Playing SH-32 from multiple keyboards

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone has tried using the SH-32 from multiple keyboards?

I've got a new project coming up where I need to play 2 or 3 "monophonic" synth lines that originally came from 2 or 3 monophonic synths. It made me wonder if I could chain 2 mini keyboards up to the SH-32 over MIDI, say with one transmitting on Channel 1, then 2 etc. Would that work if a Performance voice was set up to respond to Channels 1, 2, 3, 4 on Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4/R?

Also, if the keyboards had controllers, would they work for just the voice on that channel? Say, would affecting the filter cutoff (CC#74) on the keyboard playing Part 1 (on Channel 1) only affect that voice, or would the CC message affect all 4 voices of the Performance?

Any ideas?
Am I crazy?
