Hello,
I´ve a question regarding the Roland VR 09.
The key has three midi receive modes. In order to integrate the keyboard in a keyboard setup with
some more expanders I think only the "keyboard" mode can be used, because mode 2 is running on all midi channals including the gm mode etc.

So my question: Can I define the receiving midi channel for the lower split zone in keyboard mode or does it receive from all channals? I want to play the key from an external keyboard too -- but only on one midi channel for the lower part.

I know it's old, but in case anyone else happens to end up hear in a search looking for this info, If you want to control the lower zone of the VR09 from an external keyboard, I think the answer is to select Mode 2, and set your external keyboard to transmit on channel 3.
