USB Floppy emulator for EM-50

Post by luenma »

Hi,

I have the SFR1M44-U100K-R GOTEK emulator, but I do not know the correct jumpers I should use. I try to substitute the following Floppy drive which is installed in my Roland keyboard model EM-50:

Panasonic, model JU-257A166P, which has the following switches:
Sw1: RY (RY-DC)
Sw2: OUT (OUT-NC-IN)
Sw3: D0 (D0-D1)
Sw4: nothing (IN-OUT)
Sw5: PC (PC-AT-P2-SE)
Sw6: M0 (MS-M0)

I really appreciate any help to know the correct jumpers I have to use in the USB Floppy drive emulator.

Thanks and regards,
Luis

Hi,

Finally it works. I have used the jumpers JA, JB and MO. I have noted it is needed to have the USB stick not connected to the emulator when the keyboard is switched on. If the USB stick is connected to the emulator when the keyboard is switched on then it does not work and it is needed to take out the USB stick and connect it again. So, I see the correct procedure is to switch on the keyboard with the USB stick not connected and connect it only after the keyboard has been switched on.

Regards,
Luis
