Does anyone have the EEPROM image files for the Roland A-50/A-80 controllers? The latest version I'm aware of is 1.07, although if someone knows if there's a later revision, I'd like to know that too.
I've called Roland Support in the US and they didn't have anything like that. Perhaps someone has a contact in the Roland engineering group that might be able to help?
Roland A-50 (A50) ROM images?
Re: Roland A-50 (A50) ROM images?
I have two Roland A-50s.
one has 1.07 with the "poly aftertouch 3 octaves too high" bug
the other one has 1.04 and doesn't have this bug
not sure what else was changed between 1.04 and 1.07

I seem to have a Version 1.08
Mine seems to have the Poly AT issue as well.
Anyway to revert to a older ROM?

I have version 1.05 and an EPROM burner if anyone wants a copy. Does anyone else have an image I can use?
I also have an issue with random characters appearing on the screen but the factroy reset procedures do not work - any ideas?
Jon

Hello! Do you still have the ROM image 1.10 by any chance? Thank you very much!

The Roland A-50 has two firmware EPROMs:
1. EPROM "A" (16 KiB)
2. EPROM "B" (32 KiB)
If someone can read the data from them with an EPROM writer, please send the files to the following e-mail address:
skinnyv@dbwbp.com
This way it will be posted on the following website sooner or later:
