FP-50 displaying tracks out of order

I've got some tracks on a USB stick but the FP-50 is displaying them out of order which is really annoying.
I read somewhere that you have to copy the files onto the stick in the order that you want to play them (not sure why?) but even doing that didn't help, my first track is last in the list and the rest are split into 3 groups.
Help please!
